Future Youth

Future Youth is a five years programmes funded by the national Lottery Reach In Communities Fund and the BBC Children in Need. The programme is aimed at using wellbeing to improve the educational performances of children and young people age 4 to 24. This graphic summarises the programme.

Future Youth Centre

As part of the Future Youth Programme, we have established a youth centre located on a high street with the first aim to be a visible and safe centre where each child and young person as well as parents can access. The centre is to primarily welcome those with barriers to access other maintream centres for various reasons. The centre is also a centre where partners and other organisations like the Zone, job centre, learning organisations can attend to have a direct contact with attendees of the centre

Education

Education is at the heart of building children and young people future. Future Youth ultimate goal is to ensure that each participant is not only in education, can is performing and excelling. To achieve that goal, we use the medium of wellbeing projects to promote the importance of being in education, boost the attendance, raise performance. We also work with schools through our schools liaison officers to ensure that we have a direct working link with schools, teachers.

Befriending & Peer Support

Our Wellbeing is a holistic programme aimed at support the overall wellbeing and wellness of participants. This includes Sport & Physical activities; Social Activities; Healthy Eating; Psychosocial Support.

Fit & Fed

Our “Fit and Fed for Kids” program offers children aged 7-14 who receive free school meals access to free cooked meals, engaging activities, interactive learning workshops, and trips and days out, with transport provided for all participants.
